2018 Mid-Winter Conference

The 2018 Mid-Winter conference of the Association will be held Friday January 12 to

Sunday January 14, 2018, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary RD,

Alexandria, VA 22311.

The cost of the room is $109.00 per night. You are urged to make your reservations

using Group Code 173A to get this rate. There is a charge for parking. You can make

your hotel reservation by clicking HERE .

Attached is the draft Agenda for the 2018 Mid-Winter Conference. Please review it

carefully and notify the Secretary if you wish to address any additional topics. The

deadline for changes shall be December 6, 2017. The business meeting begins at 9 AM

on Saturday, January 13, 2018. If you will not be able to attend, please notify the

Secretary the name of your replacement or proxy. This year we are scheduling a time

and place for the various committees to meet and finalize their SOP on Friday the 12th.

Some have asked to have a training session on planning and execution of a reunion.

With the assistance of Ray Saikus, we are in the process of confirming a White House

Tour early Friday morning followed by lunch at the Capital and tour. Please be aware

you need to arrive NLT Thursday January 11, 2018 and be prepared to participate in

committee workshops, training sessions and planned events. It is important to note

that the White House will give final approval 3-4 weeks prior to the tour date. We will

need the name and driver’s license numbers for those wishing to go on the tour of the

White House —IMMEDIATELY!! We must submit the list of those attending the White

House tour with the formal request.

I am looking forward to a productive conference and meeting the new Directors and

National Officers. We have a lot to accomplish. I will be sending out the final details

and agenda as soon as we get the requested responses and confirmations.
